Shaikh Fawaz highlighted the importance of such meetings which provide opportunity to exchange views on local issues, praising the role played by journalists in enlightening the public.
He replied to the queries of columnists and journalists concerning the situation in the kingdom, especially regarding media, political and social affairs, affirming that freedoms of opinion and expression are guaranteed for everyone and that the officials’ doors are wide-open for those seeking to get the right information.
He also stressed that IAA is committed to highlight the kingdom’s achievements in all fields, and interact with other media institutions in order to ensure that the real image is transmitted.
The guests lauded the crucial role played by IAA in projecting the real image, in light of the attempts made by some tendentious sides to disseminate false and baseless rumours.
