Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Arab League for Arab Affairs Ambassador Talal Al Amine denied categorically that he had promised the delegation of the Egyptian Revolutionary Groups, during his meeting with them last Sunday, to include the events of Bahrain in the agenda of 23rd Arab Summit, due to be hosted by Baghdad later this month.
Replying to the statements made by the members of the so-called “Egyptian Revolutionary Groups” to the Cairo-based “Al-Yawm Al-Sabea” newspaper, Ambassador Al Amine said that the delegation came to the Arab League’s headquarters last Sunday and requested a meeting with the Secretary-General to hand over to him a memo pertaining to the situation in the Arab world in general.
Al Amine added that he had met the group and received the memo in order to deliver it to Dr. Al Araby, stressing that he had never delivered any statements regarding the details of the meeting or commented on the demands featuring in their memo.
