The event, which was held last at the Bahrain Conference Centre, Crowne Plaza Hotel, was attended by more than 150 participants coming from the country’s top companies and accounting firms. The seminar served as a strategic venue for Sage to encourage local businesses to fully utilize strategic Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions as an effective way to drive in more growth while at the same time reinforce ties with their customers.
The first part of the session was highlighted with a talk and presentation made by Dr. Sudhakar Raju, a visiting professor from Harvard University. In his speech, Dr. Raju shared important points on the financial crisis, the Euro debt crisis and Basel III – even before the emergence of derivatives, financial booms and busts across different economies. The Harvard Professor also spoke on his views on the history of modern crises, the South Sea bubble and the current Euro crisis. During the second half of the session, Reggie Fernandes, Director – Gulf Operations, Sage Software Middle East gave a presentation entitled, ‘Put your Enterprise resource planning Systems to better use through Customer Relationship Management.’
