Shaikh Fawaz in key talks with US officials

Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa President Information Affairs Authority (IAA) held talks with the US House of Representatives media office chief Jerry Gallegos, who outlined the efforts and services undertaken by the bureau as well as ways of reaching out to communication with journalists and issuing them with necessary licences to facilitate their work.

Shaikh Fawaz reaffirmed IAA keenness on promoting historic relations, particularly media cooperation, and benefiting from the US technical and press strides.

The IAA Chief also met US State Department media office deputy director Dick Kostin and stressed the importance of official external information.

Shaikh Fawaz was updated on the role of the State Department media office in holding forums, press conferences and media and intellectual events, in addition to projecting US policies and promoting political, economic and social issues.

Shaikh Fawaz held talks with the director of the International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), an affiliate of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) Richard Lobo and Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes and discussed bilateral media cooperation.
