The past President Sami Kamal and his previous board members have claimed a clean majority with Kamal bagging 100% votes as announced by the election committee formed during the AGM by the members of the Club and officials.
The voting process was overseen by the officials from the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) and the two year term of the board expires in 2015.
Sami Kamal as outgoing President thanked Sameera Rajab State Minister for Information Affairs for her continuous encouragement and support.
“We are hoping that during this term we get permanent premises for the Club and look forward working with all segments of the media in Bahrain,” he added.
The winning panel includes Sami Kamal, Mohammed Al Jaousi, Jamal Yaqout, Tariq Al Ghanem, Fatima Ali, Ghazwan and Sheikhuddin while Mahmood Rafique as reserve member for the board.
