MANAMA: His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa underlined that the Unified Gulf Currency is a goal which GCC citizens are looking forward to achieving, being a step towards the Gulf Union expected by “all of us”.
HRH premier made the remarks as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace a number of MPs, in the presence of the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and the First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives Abdulla bin Khalaf Al-Dossary.
HRH Prime Minister has asserted that the exemplary government-parliament cooperation in the Kingdom has yielded many success stories that have enriched the Bahraini democratic experience, and has been a catalyst for success and landmark achievements.
HRH Premier said that the Government considers the Legislative Branch its partner in national work and responsibilities, and has been keen on responding positively to its proposals, taking into account top national interests and the available resources.
He pointed out that those with strong patriotism and put national interests above all others are worthy of the national responsibilities vested on them and deserve to represent the citizens in the “House of the People”.
HRH the Prime Minister asserted that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has done a lot for the nation and the people.
He pointed out that the government aims to bring about a development boom whose dividends will be reaped by the citizens, and, therefore, it is doing its utmost to strengthen the pillars of security and stability and deter those seeking to subvert them, stressing that development goals cannot be achievement in an atmosphere of chaos and sabotage.
Shura Council Chairman and MPs said that the Legislative Branch is lucky by the constant readiness of the government, led by HRH Premier, to cooperate with it and accept its proposals emanating from the citizens open-heartedly.
