SANABIS: The Communication and Information Technology sector committee of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry has recently held its first consultative meeting at Bait Al Tijjar. The meeting was presided over by committee chairman and board member Ahmed bin Hindi, and attending the meeting members of the committee, representatives from the sector and authority bodies.
The meeting deliberated about means of upgrading the sector, directing subsidies to pro-Bahrainisation companies, facilitating the companies’ utilization of expanded opportunity set by encouraging their entry to regional markets, and streamlining partnership between domestic and foreign companies by mulling the prospect of relaxing licensing for foreign companies.
