Jumeirah Royal Saray adds new dimension to hospitality

Stunning view of marble and craftsmanship of unique architecture at the entrance of the property

Manama: Jumeirah’s Royal Saray Bahrain, which has announced the opening of its doors for business, offers unique blend of royalty, luxury and memorable stay to guests.

Inspired by the homes of Arabian royalty and infused with luxury drawn from around the world, is vivid from the stunning marble lobby to the spectacular location on the Arabian Gulf.

Jumeirah Royal Saray was designed by Floris Smith, a world-class Architect, who was committed to curate a unique architectural vision for the hotel; starting from its layout, its unique theme inspired by some of the world’s historical architectural pioneers, to the details of the textures, colours and the selections of rare materials that were used in every corner of the hotel.

Located on a private beach of one of Manama’s most vibrant locations ‘Al Seef District’, and majestically surrounded by the Arabian Sea, Jumeirah Royal Saray layout was planned to allow its guests to experience a unique open sea experience at the lobby combining the warmth of Arabian hospitality with a contemporary feel which is serene yet luxurious throughout.

In relation to the interiors of the hotel, royal purples turquoise, layers of textures and patterns are strongly visible along with the arches that are influenced by the ancient royal courtyards of Bahrain. The Khalifa Heritage House’s unique decors was a main inspiration for the designers of the hotel and its essence is incorporated in the wood carvings, mirrors and floors.

Designed to perfection, the hotel designers searched all over the world to get the perfect faded olive-green shade that was used for the roofs, not only to complement the hotel’s exterior but to match the essence of Bahrain’s beautiful landscape.

A feature of many of the world’s great hotels is an incredible lobby and Jumeirah Royal Saray doesn’t disappoint with marble taking centre stage throughout. Guests will be mesmerized by the massive space lobby that takes them on a journey far away from the Arabian desert, reminiscent of the awesome presence felt at the Taj Mahal Palace in India.

More than 200 people handled choosing the Calacatta marble stones taken from deep mountains in Italy, five different types of Italian marble were used with each marble tile having its own unique pattern, each complementing the other to create one large masterpiece in each room.

In respectful contrast to local tradition, there is a contemporary feel to the resort’s interior. Drawn from around the world, the décor has items handpicked and curated using the best materials and statement pieces that make the resort a living work of art.

When it comes to art, as you enter the hotel, guests will instantly be able to see a beautiful painting for His Royal Highness, Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa Grandfather of HH Sheikh Khalifa, the technique used to apply the delicate gold leaves each weighing less than one gram is similar to what has been done centuries ago and applied in some of the world’s most prestigious locations such as the Vatican.

Guest rooms pay homage to the Bahraini pearl diving industry with nacres, silvers, shimmer and ocean blue tones. Every bathroom has hand-blown glass chandeliers from the Czech Republic, comprising 13 different designs of chandeliers and 132 pieces in total inspired by the pearl diving shapes popular in Bahrain, while the walls are gilded in silver and gold by master French artisans.

Featuring 174 stunning rooms, as well as 10 luxurious summerhouses and 4 Royal Residences, the resort takes its inspiration from the historical royal houses of Bahrain and traditional summerhouses, which are rich with artistic wooden carvings. Used to adorn royal houses for centuries, such patterns are the inspiration for the furniture, glass and other ornate details across the resort.

Moreover, those who want to entertain friends and family, Jumeirah Royal Saray promotes an upscale and trendy restaurant vibe and providing a new dining hot spot in town. An upscale and trendy restaurant featuring a fantastic Gin bar, while the spectacular ‘The Palm Lounge’, is set overlooking the turquoise blue waters of the Arabian Gulf and serves world class coffee by Colombian baristas and the finest French pastries. Al Hadiqa Pool Beach Cabanas offers guests fresh, blended cocktails in a Mediterranean ambience complete with ancient olive trees that adorn the pool. Meanwhile, guests can explore streets full of traditional and artisan crafts, watch the sunset over the palm trees on a private beach or enjoy incredible water activities.

So, if luxury within a tranquil and serene setting is your desire, look no further than Jumeirah Royal Saray.
