MANAMA: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security arrested two Asian women, aged 41 and 31 on the 11th of June 2026 for utilizing social media platforms to promote acts against public morals for money.
Search and investigation procedures led to the identification and arrest of the two women. Necessary legal procedures were taken, referring them to the Public Prosecution.
The General Directorate urged citizens and residents to adhere to morals, community values, and the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The General Directorate stressed that it will not tolerate legal action against anyone who commits acts or practices that violate public morals or who exploits social media platforms to commit violations or crimes.
