The Capital Governor, Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, affirmed that the private sector is a strategic partner and a key pillar in the comprehensive and sustainable development witnessed by the Kingdom under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He praised the strong partnership between the public and private sectors, which receives the direct support and attention of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This came during his visit to the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he was received by the BCCI Chairman, Nabeel Khalid Kanoo, and members of the Board of Directors.
During the meeting, the Capital Governor congratulated the Board of Directors on its new formation, wishing them success in carrying out their national responsibilities and continuing the Chamber’s pivotal role in representing the private sector and enhancing its contribution to supporting the national economy and achieving the goals of sustainable economic development.
He praised the Chamber’s leading role in supporting the business environment and enhancing the competitiveness of the private sector through quality initiatives and projects that serve traders and entrepreneurs, and that support the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve economic growth and sustainable development.
For his part, BCCI Chairman expressed appreciation for the Capital Governor’s visit, affirming that it reflects the governorate’s keenness to strengthen communication and cooperation with the private sector and consolidate the approach of national partnership among various state institutions.
He stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the private sector and government entities and working in a spirit of partnership and shared responsibility to address current challenges and deal with economic changes in the region, in a way that supports growth, sustainability and enhances the Kingdom of Bahrain’s economic standing.
