Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi Al Mannai, expressed sincere thanks, gratitude and loyalty to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, praising the significant support and continued royal care extended to Ashoora season in the Kingdom of Bahrain, ensuring the practice of religious rituals freely, peacefully and safely.
This came on the occasion of the annual meeting held by His Excellency Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, with heads and officials of Community Centres (Maatams) in the governorates, coinciding with preparations for Ashoora season.
The Muharraq Governor expressed deep thanks to the Interior Ministry, headed by HE the Interior Minister, for the integrated facilities and services provided to ensure the success of the season, with high national awareness and responsibility, reflecting the spirit of community partnership that distinguishes Bahrain.
He praised the role of Community Centres (Maatams) in Muharraq Governorate, with their historical legacy and deep-rooted national awareness, in complying with laws and regulations and preserving the religious and civilised nature of the occasion. He also valued their rejection of any attempts to politicise the occasion or divert it from its religious and national context.
The Muharraq Governor concluded by affirming that the governorate would continue direct and ongoing coordination with all heads of Community Centres (Maatams) and security and service authorities in the governorate to provide all requirements and ensure the success of the season, reflecting the values of brotherhood, cooperation and unity that have long characterised Bahraini society.
