NORTHERN GOVERNORATE: Mahmood Rafique, Editor: Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Northern Governor, chaired the meeting of the Northern Governorate Security Committee, in presence of Director-General of the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, Brigadier Saleh Rashid Al Doseri, Deputy Governor, Brigadier Abdullah Ali Maantar, and several committee members.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Northern Governor commended the recent meeting held by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, with heads and officials of the community centres (Maatams), and the emphasis placed on continuing cooperation and coordination between official and community entities to ensure the success of the Ashoora season. He highlighted the importance of promoting national responsibility and community partnership to provide a safe and organised environment for marking the occasion, reflecting Bahrain’s cohesion, coexistence and respect for cultural and religious diversity.

During the meeting, the committee discussed preparations for the Ashoora season and coordination efforts among the Northern Governorate, the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, and relevant authorities to ensure a safe and suitable environment for marking the occasion.

The committee also stressed the importance of following up on the implementation of organisational requirements and safety and security standards in line with approved regulations, while maintaining continuous coordination with the Northern Governorate Police Directorate and concerned authorities to enhance public safety, ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain security and order during the Ashoora season.
